Spooky Halloween Tag

Hey, guys! I am super excited to do the first book tag I have done in ages, and that is the Spooky Halloween Book Tag. I originally saw this tag on Rachel @ Life of a Female Bibliophile‘s blog, so go and read her post and give her blog some love. She is awesome, and I just really love her blog, not to mention that she is super lovely and sweet! But I really love Halloween, so I am sure this is going to be tons of fun to do. Let’s get into it!

1: Fave horror or Halloween-themed song?

My favorite song to listen to around Halloween has always been Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold. This song just screams Halloween for me!

2: Name something you wouldn’t want to run into in a forbidden forest or abandoned building.

Just one thing? Definitely something supernatural in nature. The first thing to come to mind is a Dementor. *shudders*

3: Have you ever played with an Ouija board?

I have seen people play with one before, but I have never personally played around with one of those things. People really should not be messing around with that kind of thing…

4: Favorite horror monster or villain?

How can I go with anything other than the classic vampire?

5: The creepiest thing that has ever happened to you while you were alone?

I’m just going to refer to my Halloween Story Times video. That has all the creepy shit that has happened to me over the years…

6: If you were dared to spend the night in a “Haunted House,” would you do it?

Hell to the no. I would hear one noise and be like, “Peace. I’m out, bitches.”

7: Are you superstitious?

Not really. I don’t believe in the whole Friday the 13th BS or black cats or whatever.

8: Do you ever see figures in your peripheral vision?

If by “figures” you mean seeing my younger brother try to sneak up on me and scare me, but instead I catch his ass every single time, then oh yeah. I see figures on the daily…

9: Which Urban Legend scares you the most?

Probably Bloody Mary. I don’t believe in that superstition bullcrap, but that Supernatural episode still freaks me out…

10: Do you prefer gore or thrillers?

I 100% prefer thrillers. I hate gore. There is a reason I don’t watch The Walking Dead. True Blood is about as gory as I get…

11: Do you believe in multiple dimensions or worlds?

Nope, definitely not. I’m a Christian, so I don’t believe in that. But I do love to read about that kind of thing!

12: Have you made a potion of any sort?

Does trying to make myself into a mermaid from H2O: Just Add Water when I was 10 count? (and yes, I seriously did try this…)

13: Do you get scared easily?

When it comes to Haunted Houses? Yeah. But like movies and such? Not really.

14: Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

Heck to the no.

15: Do you believe in demons or the Devil?

I believe in both.

16: You’re home alone in your house and you hear footsteps. What do you do?

Grab my pepper spray, flashlight, and a switchblade, and then I make a circle of salt around myself. What else are you supposed to do?

17: If you got trapped in one scary movie, which one would you choose?

If I get trapped, I wouldn’t have a choice, would I? But I probably would choose Children of the Corn because that is one of the least scary horror films I can think of…

18: If you could only wear one Halloween costume for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

I would be Isabelle Lightwood from The Mortal Instruments series because I basically wear everything she does on a daily basis anyways!

19: Would you ever go to a graveyard at night?

I won’t even go to a graveyard during the day…

20: In a Zombie Apocalypse, what is your weapon of choice?

Probably a blade, like a Machete or something. But I would probably be more likely to find a gun. My family owns so many that it is kind of ridiculous.

21: Would you rather go to a Halloween party or go trick or treating?

Halloween Party all the way. Not even going to disclose why, but you can probably guess.

22: You’re in a horror movie. Are you the final girl, the first to die, the comic relief, the skeptic, the smart one, or the killer?

I probably would be a combination of a skeptic and the smart one. But I definitely would not be the first one to die. Given the amount of horror movies I’ve seen, I definitely could build up some strategies to take down that SOB.

23: Do you have to watch something happy after watching a horror movie so you can go to sleep?

I can usually just go to sleep. I don’t need to balance the negative with the positive.

24: Whilst watching scary movies, are you the person who is yelling at the characters, the one with their eyes covered the whole time or the person who falls asleep?

I am a combo platter. Half the time I’m covering my eyes and the other half I am yelling at the characters.

25: Are you the one who gets scared or the one who does the scaring?

Oh, I definitely do the scaring. One time I hid under the bed while my sister was watching the Woman In Black, and during one of the really scary parts, I grabbed her ankle. It was the greatest thing I have ever done, I swear XD

26: Favorite scary book?

My favorite book to read around Halloween is The Forbidden Game by L. J. Smith. It is so creepy and thrilling, and I just love it so much! Highly recommend!

27: How old were you when you saw your first horror movie?

I was probably seven or eight. I stayed at my grandmother’s and watched Hide and Seek with my grandmother, without my mom’s permission. My mom was so livid when she found out, so the next time I stayed at my grandmother’s, she made sure to show me that movie again, just to spite my mother…My grandmother is great, I know XD

28: What was your first Halloween costume?

Well, I was not allowed to dress up when I was growing up because my dad believed (and still does) that Halloween is a celebration of the devil and blah, blah, blah. So I have no idea…

29: What are you going to be for Halloween this year?

I dressed up as Isabelle Lightwood this year! It was so much fun.

30: If you could have a spooky Halloween pet (black cat, owl, bat, rat, wolf), what would you pick?

I am obsessed with wolves, so I would definitely choose to have a wolf. I think they are just such beautiful creatures!

And there you have it! That was the Spooky Halloween Tag! What/Who did you dress up as for Halloween this year? Comment down below! I would love to know. If you want to participate in this book tag, but have not been tagged, then consider yourself tagged! But that is going to be it for this post today. Thank you all so much for reading this, I hope you enjoyed it, and I will see you next time!

  1. It looks like you had a great time doing the tag. I definitely agree with you on not wanting to run into Dementors. They are terrifying! I think we could probably work well in a group if we ever got trapped in a Horror movie. Seems like we’ve got the skills to survive, along with tips we could use from many Supernatural episodes. I also think that Bloody Mary ep of Supernatural was one of the scariest ones from the earlier season. Hope you had a great Halloween! 😀
