Born to Endless Night by Cassandra Clare & Sarah Rees Brennan | REVIEW & DISCUSSION

Hey, guys! I am so freaking excited to talk about Born to Endless Night as it is my favorite installment to the series thus far. It had everything I wanted and more. There was so much Malec and Sizzy and Clace, and I just loved it so freaking much. This was just a really good book, and I really want to discuss it, so let’s get into the review!

Synopsis:

“Simon, like the rest of the Academy, is stunned when a navy-skinned warlock baby is found on the Academy steps. They hand the child over to guest lecturer Magnus Bane, who has to bring a child home… temporarily, of course… to his man!”

My Thoughts:

This is my new favorite in the series. I was smiling the entire time I was reading this. It just made me so happy because it was like everything I ever wanted in a book. It had Sizzy and Malec and Clace and the Lightwood family being nice to Magnus and it was just my everything. And we got to meet Alec and Magnus’s baby, and it made me so freaking excited. The baby was so cute! The baby brought everyone together. Magnus got along with Alec’s parents, and it was just an amazing time.

We really got to see how much the family dynamic has changed in the Lightwood family in this book. While Maryse and Robert definitely still do not get along, they are in the same room without going at it, Robert does not recoil or show any sign of disgust when seeing Magnus and Alec together, and everyone just seems to be (for the most part) getting along.

Simon and Izzy are my heart and soul, and I just love them together. It’s the perfect balance of geeky and sexy, and I just freaking love them. They are so great for each other. Simon and Izzy both care about each other so much, and that is just evident in this book. It just goes to show that no matter what, they would have found each other because their love is that powerful, and it was really beautiful to see.

This book just made me swoon and smile, and I just really enjoyed it. I loved the writing, the character development, and the world and just everything about it. I am really looking forward to reading the next installment to the series because I am sure it is going to be absolutely fabulous!
